We contend that it means not rebellion, or "apostasy" as we think of it, but simply "departure." In context, this is a synonym for the Rapture: the departure of the Church from Earth.

What is the best way to understand this word? We argue that the meaning is departure in a general sense, and therefore is best understood as a reference to the departure of the Church from the world, an event known as the Rapture.
